The Story of Mother Clucker
When we decided to create yet another chicken seasoning, we wanted this one to be especially unique in both flavor and name. Of course, the name we did finally settle on was kind of a joke, but it stuck around and gave enough laughs that we decided to keep it.This seasoning was thought up as just a way to give you another excellent chicken seasoning option. Chicken is steadfast remaining the most popular meat consumed in the United States, which means that people are seeking out more ways to eat it. There are only so many plain chicken dinners a person can make before chicken will become as boring as kale. Just kidding, kale enthusiasts.
Chicken's popularity in America wasn't always so high. In 1928, when the famous Herbert Hoover phrase "a chicken in every pot" was making its rounds, this was a big deal because chicken meat was thought to be an occasional treat. It was expensive because it wasn't usually found in grocery stores and there was no commercial production of chicken meat. Plenty of families kept chickens, but usually for the eggs. If a chicken died, the family was able to consume its meat, but it was not a regular occurrence. Chicken farming wasn't as popular as beef or pork farming because the birds were very small and they took a while to reach maturity. It wasn't until WWII, when most of America's meat was being shipped overseas to soldiers, that chicken rose to the forefront as a cheap meat for Americans. Scientists were able to figure out which chickens were able to grow the fastest with the least amount of feed, making them into a meat with a quick turnaround and a high profit margin. This was also when the birth of things like chicken nuggets and chicken noodle soup, now American classics, came about. People were searching for protein sources to fill their families bellies and chicken-based meals became increasingly popular. The commercial production of chicken was on the rise, and so were the amount of chicken recipes.
What's in It?

Mother Clucker Chicken seasoning is at first herby followed by a bit of mild smokiness with garlic notes and then finishes with a tinge of heat.Where to Use
You can use this blend on chicken obviously, but you can also use it on vegetables and cheesy dishes. The richness of the garlic and onion is perfectly complimented by the heat of the chile powder and gives the two a good kick in cheese-based foods. The herbal flavor also complements cheeses quite nicely.
This blend is great for veggie burgers as well. You can make a delicious black bean burger with this blend and the flavor will really surprise you. The smoky and spicy undertones compliment black beans like a match made in heaven.
