Holiday Spice and Everything Nice

The most wonderful time of the year is creeping up on us faster with each trip around the sun and this year it feels like we’ve blinked and scorching hot days shifted immediately into chilly mornings where we must yank ourselves forcefully out of bed. Nights are longer, and we are increasingly looking forward to getting home from work for hot drinks like homemade Masala Chai garnished with freshly grated nutmeg.

As more holiday gatherings come up, there is the sense of community shared when hovering near the snack foods waiting for dinner, making chit chat and catching up with friends and family we haven’t seen nearly as often as we would like. Maple spiced nuts are a favorite food for this sort of activity.

When food and conversation have left you so full you could not possibly imagine another bite, you will still be tempted with those small, round vanilla bean cookies staring at you from the dessert table across the room. Indulge, enjoy, and have the happiest of holidays.
