Hot Chili Cheese Dip for Tortilla Chips

1 medium finely chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
2 teaspoons canola oil
2 cans 15 ounce chili without beans
2 cups salsa
2 3-ounce packages cubed creamed cheese
2 2-1/4-once cans sliced and drained ripe olives
Red Pepper Flakes
to taste
Cracked Black Pepper
to taste
Tortilla chips

Directions:
1.  In a small skillet saut
é onion and garlic in oil until tender
2.  Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker
3.  Stir in the chili, salsa, cream cheese, olives, red pepper and pepper
4.  Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until heated through, stirring occasionally
5.  Serve with tortilla chips
