Gourmet Chocolate Cookies 2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup ground pecans 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt 1/2 cup warm butter 1/2 cup vegetable shortening 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract 1 3/4 cups milk chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375° F 2. In a medium bowl combine flour, ground pecans, baking powder, baking soda and salt 3. On medium speed in a large mixer bowl beat butter and vegetable shortening for half a minute 4. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract and beat until well combined 5. Slowly beat in most of the flour mixture 6. Stir in the rest of the flour mixture, morsels and the cup of nuts 7. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets 8. Bake for 11-12 minutes or until golden brown 9. Cool cookies on the baking pan for several minutes then remove to wire racks to cool completely |
