Garlic and Onion Standard Spice Set

These are two of the must have spices in any kitchen and as any serious food connoisseur knows recipes often call for a variety of garlic and onion – powdered, granulated and flakes – depending on the needed textures. With our standard spice collection you will never be caught short again.
Your six selections:
Onion Powder – Onion powder provides terrific aroma and flavor, but not texture. Ideal for use in sauces and gravies, spice blends, canned foods, meats, spreads and soups. 1 pound of dehydrated onions is equal to 9 pounds of raw onions.
Granulated Onion – Perfect when you are looking for desirable onion flavor, but you don’t need the texture. Also ideal to use when you’re pressed for time as the flavor is so good nobody but you will know the difference. Onion granules are also easier to measure than Onion Flakes, and they don’t cake like Onion Powder.
Onion Flakes – We have found keeping dehydrated onion flakes in our cupboard to be the ideal solution when needing onion seasoning and either you don’t have the real thing available and want to avoid a quick trip to the grocery store or when a recipe just calls for just a little bit (i.e. a quarter cup or less).
Garlic Powder – As any good home chef knows there really is nothing like fresh garlic but that doesn't mean that using dehydrated garlic doesn't play a vital role in your kitchen. Made from pure dehydrated garlic our garlic powder has no preservatives or anti-caking agents. If you do choose to use this in place of fresh Garlic then use the conversion of 1/8 tsp garlic powder is approximately equal to 1 clove of fresh garlic.
Granulated Garlic – Granulated garlic is the one that is called for in most recipes and it can be substituted for fresh garlic in recipes where the flavor of garlic is called for but not necessarily the texture. For conversions use one teaspoon of garlic granules in place of each fresh clove.
Garlic Flakes – An excellent addition to any well rounded collection of spices for your kitchen. When you are looking for garlic flavor and texture, garlic flakes should be your choice. When cooking with liquids, garlic flakes are perfect to add directly into dishes like chili, soups, stews, casseroles, gravies, sauces and marinades.
