Baked Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork Recipe
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds pork shoulder roast 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt 1/2 teaspoon Celery Seed 1/8 teaspoon Korintje Cinnamon Powder 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder Mild 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg Powder 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/2 cup water Cider vinegar and hot sauce to taste Directions: 1. In a large roasting pan brown roast in a small amount of fat 2. In a saucepan add the next 9 ingredients and bring to a boil 3. Preheat oven to 325º F 4. Pour the saucepan mix over the roast and cover with foil 5. Bake 40 minutes per pound basting occasionally with drippings until meat is fork tender 6. Transfer pork roast to a cutting board 7. Remove meat from the bone and shred the pork into small pieces using a fork 8. Season pork to taste with additional vinegar and hot sauce 9. Serve hot with sandwich buns and coleslaw and baked beans |
