Leftover Chicken A La King
2 cups cut up leftover chicken breast 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 medium onion 2 chopped garlic cloves 1/2 cup diced celery 1 small jar pimientos 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 2 cans mixed vegetables 1 can cream mushrooms soup 1 can cream celery soup 1 can cream chicken soup 1 small can mushrooms 3 or 4 cups milk (per thickness of sauce) 1 teaspoons Old Bay Sea Salt to taste Ground Black Pepper Medium Grind to taste Directions: 1. Add oil to a nonstick skillet and brown chicken 2. Add celery and cook until tender 3. Add onions and garlic and saute 4. In a large pot add pimientos, Worcestershire, canned soups, milk and vegetables 5. Add Old Bay, salt and pepper 6. Stir well and simmer, covered, until hot, 25-30 minutes 7. Add all ingredients from the skillet to the pot and stir well 8. Serve over toast or noodles Serves: 4 |
