Low Sodium Asian Snow Peas

Sodium = 65 mg

1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 lb fresh trimmed snow pea pods
1/2 cup diagonally sliced carrots
1/4 cup sliced water chestnuts
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
Ground White Pepper
to taste
1 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp cornstarch

Directions:
1.  In a nonstick skillet add oil and heat over medium-high heat until oil is hot
2.  Add snow peas and carrots and saute for 3 minutes
3.  Add water chestnuts, broth and pepper and bring to a boil
4.  Cover and reduce heat to simmer and cook 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are crispy and tender
5.  In a separate bowl mix soy sauce and cornstarch, stirring until cornstarch dissolves
6.  Add soy mix to vegetable mix
7.  Cook over medium heat, stirring until sauce thickens
