Low Sodium Beef Barley Soup
Sodium = 102 1 lb 80/20 ground beef 1 large chopped onion 8 oz chopped mushrooms 1 can sliced water chestnuts, undrained 1 can low sodium chicken broth 4 cups water 2 Tablespoons low sodium beef bouillon 2/3 cups barley 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Flakes 2 teaspoons Worcestershire 1/2 teaspoon crushed Thyme Leaf 2/3 cups shredded carrot 1/2 teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper Directions: 1. Brown ground beef and onion until meat is almost browned 2. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes 3. Transfer all to a slow cooker 4. Add remaining ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours Serves: 5 |
