Low Sodium Pasta
6 medium red sweet peppers, chopped 1/3 cup Garlic Flakes 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil 1 cup water 2 tablespoons Sweet Basil 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning 1/4 teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper 1/3 cup low sodium tomato paste 2 tablespoons red garlic wine vinegar 8 ounces hot cooked pasta Grated Parmesan cheese Directions: 1. In a large skillet over medium heat add oil, garlic and sweet peppers and stir frequently for about 18-20 minutes or until browned 2. Using a blender add 1/2 of the pepper mix into the container, cover and blend until just smooth 3. Add 1/2 each of the water, Sweet Basil, Italian Seasoning, Cracked Black Pepper, vinegar and tomato paste, cover and pulse until basil is chipped and the mix is smooth 4. Place mix with into a saucepan 5. Repeat process with remaining ingredients and place remainder into the saucepan and heat on medium until nice a warm 6. Serve over pasta and sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese Serves: 4 Prep Time: 20 minutes |
