Organic Beef in Creamy Mushroom Sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup water 1 pound organic beef boneless sirloin steak -- about 1/2 inch thick 1/4 cup Organic Onion Flakes 1/4 cup Organic Granulated Garlic 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt 1/8 teaspoon Organic Ground Black Pepper Medium Grind 1 medium red bell pepper -- cut into bite-size pieces 3 cups sliced mushrooms (about 8 ounces) 1/4 cup brandy or 1/4 cup water 1 teaspoon low-sodium beef bouillon granules 2 tablespoons nonfat sour cream 3 tablespoons Dried Chives 3 cups hot cooked Pasta Directions: 1. Stir cornstarch into water and set aside 2. Cut beef into 1 ½ x ½ inch strips 3. Spray cooking spray into a 10 inch skillet and heat at medium to high heat 4. Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper for cook 3-4 minutes or until onion is tender and lightly brown 5. Stir in beef and bell pepper and cook 4-5 minutes or until beef is no longer red 6. Stir in mushrooms 7. Add brandy and sprinkle bouillon granules over beef mix 8. Heat until boiling then cover and simmer for 1-2 minutes 9. Stir in sour cream 10. Stir in cornstarch mix 11. Cook over medium to high for 2 minutes stirring constantly 12. Stir in the chives 13. Serve over pasta Serves: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes |
