Our Cassia Cinnamon Sticks 10” are imported from Indonesia and are a longer version of our popular Cassia Cinnamon Sticks 2-3/4". For hundreds of years cinnamon has been one of the most popular baking spices and its delicate, yet robust flavor is perfectly suited for breads, cakes, cottage cheese, ice cream, cookies, pastries and we also love it in our oatmeal on those cold winter mornings! Cinnamon sticks are a wonderful compliment to hot drinks like cider, tea, cocoa and tea.
In addition to our 10" and 2-3/4" Cassia Cinnamon Sticks we also stock an Organic Cassia Cinnamon Sticks 2-3/4" and for those that prefer a softer cinnamon stick offer a Ceylon Cinnamon Sticks 3".
Ground cinnamon while being convenient to use is also paler in color and it tends to lose its vibrant flavor quicker than cinnamon sticks do. True cinnamon lover’s buy their cinnamon in the stick form and use their handy spice grater to get the most flavor enjoyment. While we know the taste is more powerful in the stick form we also use top grade cinnamon powder when we are in a hurry or need a bit more (it takes a long time to grade by hand!) so we also carry Organic Korintje Cinnamon Powder, Korintje Cinnamon Powder and our top quality Organic Saigon Cinnamon Powder which packs a 5% cinnamon oil content for the most intense flavor.
Cinnamon combines well with other spices such as allspice, black pepper, cardamom, cloves, ginger and nutmeg. Our Cinnamon Sticks are sold by weight and you will get two 10” (size and thickness may vary slightly) sticks per ounce.
