Grilled Pizza
4 ounces turkey Italian sausage 2 Store bought pizza crusts Cooking spray 1/2 cup marinara sauce 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Medium Grind 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Herb Seasoning 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup thinly sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup vertically sliced onion 1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese Directions: 1. Remove sausage casings and cook in nonstick skillet over medium heat, when sausage browns, stir to crumble 2. Remove sausage from pan and drain 3. In a bowl mix the marinara sauce and the next 4 seasonings 4. Heat grill to medium-high heat and place 1 crust coated with oil and grill 3 minutes or until crust is golden and puffy 5. Turn the crust and place 1/2 each of the marinara sauce, mushrooms, onions sausage, mozzarella and parmesan 6. Cover and grill for 5 minutes or until crust is browned lightly and the cheese has melted. 7. Repeat the process on the 2nd crust Serves: 6 Prep Time: 10 minutes |
