Chili Sauce
4 cups tomatoes, peeled, chopped or 4 cups canned tomatoes 2 onions, chopped 1 small bell pepper, chopped 2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt or to taste 1/2 teaspoon Korintje Cinnamon Powder 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Medium Heat 1/2 cup cider vinegar Directions: 1. Combine all ingredients except salt and bell pepper in a heavy saucepan and simmer uncovered for 1 and 1/2 hours, stirring frequently. 2. Add bell pepper and cook 30 more minutes. Add salt to taste. Chill before serving. 3. Store unused portion in the refrigerator. Yield: 3 cups |
