Inspired by the beautiful resort city of Manzanillo, on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, this region is considered by many to be the Mexican Riviera. Our Manzanillo Mexican Seasoning is an ideal time-saving addition to any kitchen – simply sprinkle on your meat when cooking and you’ll have a delicious meal well on the way. This seasoning is ideal when you sprinkle it on your tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and tostados. When we are in search of some extra spicy flavor we like to use a dash on our scrambled eggs, omelets, chili, fajitas, hamburgers, soups and stew as well.
Our Manzanillo Mexican Seasoning also makes an excellent Mexican Dry Rub. Add 1 tablespoon of seasonings per pound of meat and be sure to spread evenly on both sides. Then rub the mixture into the meat. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly when done. Place the meat in a large resealable bag and place in the refrigerator for at least four hours before cooking. For best results we like to keep it in the fridge for 24 hours before throwing the meat on the grill. As a rub this works good with steaks and fajitas but is especially delicious with chicken.
We’ve hand-mixed this salt free seasoning for those that prefer their blends loaded with spicy chile flavor but don't want it super hot. Ingredients: Mexican oregano, black pepper, Chipotle powder, Ancho Chile powder, Pasilla Chile powder, cumin, garlic powder, garlic flakes, onion powder, onion flakes and coriander.
