Low Carb Ethiopian Beef and Peppers
1/2 small can green chilies 1 tablespoon Garlic Flakes 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Seed Powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder 1/4 teaspoon Korintje Cinnamon Powder 1/2 teaspoon old bay 3/4 cup red wine 1 pound chuck or sirloin beef, cut into 1/2” strips 1/4 cup Onion Flakes 1 red or green pepper, cut in strips Directions: 1. Puree chilies, garlic, spices and wine. 2. Brown beef in hot oil, about 7-8 minutes 3. Remove beef from pan and sauté onion in oil, then add peppers sauce and sauté a few more minutes. 4. Add chilies puree to the pan and bring to a boil. 5. Return beef to pan and mix with the sauce. 6. Reduce heat, cover pan and simmer 1 1/2 hours, checking often and add water as needed.
