This is the organic version of our classic Red Pepper Flakes and is a key ingredient in various African and Mexican recipes. These chili flakes will add some smooth biting flavor to your dishes but they won’t overwhelm your taste buds with their heat as they come in at a fairly mild 1.5 on a scale of 10. Our red chili peppers are dried, seeded and then crushed and the resulting deep, dark red colored flakes are perfect for spicing up your chili, pizza, salads, soups, stir-fries or vegetarian recipes. And because they are salt-free they also a terrific compliment to any Low Sodium Diet. In several regions around the world these are even used as a table condiment in place of salt and pepper. We have found that the sharp flavor tends to last longer if they are kept refrigerated. Works well with most spices, lemon juice, lime juice and coconut milk.
