This is the organic version of our house blend Curry Powder. In India, the word curry is used for a heavenly dish of meats, fish, and/or vegetables and a spicy sauce. Indian cooks will make their own curry spice blends from both whole and ground spices depending on which particular meal they are preparing. You too can concoct your own curry blend to individualize your own recipes that have an Indian inspiration. We provide these Curry Powders for those with a hectic lifestyle that still want a top quality curry powder. Indian cooks use a wide selection of seasonings—to enhance color, aroma, and flavor--in just about every dish that they prepare. The final outcome is always spicy (but not necessarily hot) and always recognizably Indian. Indian cooks will also typically start a recipe by frying whole and ground spices in oil in order to accentuate their flavor and aroma. They also grind the spices with a little bit of water in order to make a curry paste.This particular curry blend is not considered hot.
