Our Organic Vanilla Beans are sourced from India and they are also Fair Trade Certified. Whole vanilla beans are pure vanilla and are more fragrant and concentrated than vanilla extracts. These high quality vanilla beans are deliciously aromatic and are oily to the touch.
Our more popular Bourbon Island Vanilla Beans come from the islands of Masdagascar, Comoros and The Reunion and feature a deep, rich and creamy flavor. Bourbon beans are the most popular of the vanilla beans and they have a thicker skin, are longer and produce more seeds than the Thaitian Vanilla Beans. The Tahitian Vanilla Beans are shorter, fatter and contain higher water and oil content than the Bourbon Island vanilla beans. European cooks also prefer their stronger aroma and taste which is sweet and a bit fruity.
