Tomato and Olive Sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon Asafetida Powder 2 cups tomato puree 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon Sweet Basil 1/4 cup black olives, chopped 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt Fresh ground Malabar Black Peppercorns Directions: 1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. 2. When hot, sprinkle asafetida powder over oil and add remaining ingredients. 3. Cook for about 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Yield: 2 cups of sauce |
