Spicy Garam Masala Turkey Burgers
This is a good, juicy burger that is healthy but also has some flavors that you might not be expecting. We like to make our burgers with lean meat so if you're grilling them you have to be very careful not to overcook them (which is much easier to do with red meat that is 80/20). We recommend that you cook each burger about seven minutes per side. Start off off high heat to sear them outer side and then move the burger patties to a cooler part of the grill to finish cooking. So if you're bored with your current burger recipe giver something like this a try.
These turkey burgers are infused with the flavorful seasoning of Garam Masala and the richness of fat free yogurt. They are quick and easy to make and you can adjust the curry to taste. Serve in a pita pocket with a yogurt dipping sauce and they are perfect for a light dinner. We paired this dish with Sweet Potato Skins.
Substituting ground turkey for ground beef cuts out around 200 calories, 7 grams of fat and 4 grams of saturated fat.
