We’ve added this Apple Cider Vinegar Powder after numerous requests from our competition Barbecue teams. Even backyard grill masters have heard of the magic that a good apple cider vinegar can provide in mops, sauces and marinades. But our hard core barbecuers use this as a secret ingredient in their spice blends too (especially for a variety of pork shoulders, butts and ribs).
Our dried apple cider vinegar is an easy to use and is a dehydrated form of apple cider vinegar that’s produced from the juice of apples that through the use of sophisticated fermentation methods has been converted to vinegar. This process provides a high quality, consistent vinegar. The distinct aroma and flavor are preserved by being dried on a maltodextrin carrier. Maltodextrin is a common food additive and according to Wikipedia “Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose, and might be either moderately sweet or almost flavorless.” Maltodextrin is gluten free. While we are not a huge fan of additives in any of our foods this is one of those rare exceptions that we will make based on the high amount of customer requests. Apple Cider Vinegar powder can't be reconstituted to make liquid vinegar. Use apple cider vinegar powder as a flavor ingredient in barbecue sauces, gravies, marinades, rubs, salad dressings and spice blends. It can be used white distilled vinegar.
