The Fort Worth Burger
Fort Worth, Texas is the 16th largest city in the US and the 5th largest city in Texas. Historically, Fort Worth or 'Cowtown' was known for cattle drives and ranchers, today Fort Worth is known for it's culture, art and preservation of it's rich historical past.
When we created this burger seasoning, we knew it needed a name worthy of it's big, bold taste. Fort Worth knows beef and this mix of spices is the perfect compliment to that big, beefy burger. The Fort Worth Burger Seasoning has become one of our favorites whenever we are having burgers or steaks on the grill.
Pair this burger with our sweet potato chili fries and you will please even the most picky 'cowpoke' at your dinner table!

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb lean ground meat - we like 85% for burgers seems that anything leaner tends to be too dry.
- 2-3 tablespoons Fort Worth Burger Seasoning
- 6 whole wheat buns
- Lettuce, tomatoes, onions - we prefer red onions, pickles
- Mayo or mustard - optional
- Sliced cheese - optional
Directions:
- Heat grill to med high heat.
- In a bowl, mix meat and seasoning with your hands until seasoning is blended into the meat. Careful - do not over mix or the burgers can be tough.
- Form 6 equal size burger patties about 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick.
- If you have time, put the burgers in the freezer for about 20 minutes - this will help them keep their shape on the grill.
- Place the burgers on the grill and cook thoroughly, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Add a slice of cheese to the top of the burger if desired and allow to melt for about 1 minute.
- Serve burger on bun with lettuce tomatoes, onions and pickles.
- Enjoy.
