This are our
Certified Organic Black Malabar Peppercorns that we source from both
India and Indonesia and these are picked just before the berry fully
ripens. You will find a wide variety of peppercorns but Malabar pepper
has a pronounced spicy flavor (which has a bit more bite, is slightly
hotter and provides just a hint of sweetness) compared to most other
types of peppercorns. The Malabar Peppercorn is a good robust pepper
but it does not possess quite the rich flavor of our top-of-the-line Tellicherry Peppercorns.

It is best to store your peppercorns in a cool, dark place as they will keep their flavor for about a year (while ground pepper tends to hold its flavor for only about 4 months). So grab a peppermill and grind your own as freshly ground pepper delivers a more intense flavorful experience than purchased ground pepper.
