Another soon to be classic chicken rub, Sweet Tweetie is our second chicken dry spice rub, from Tim McMaster the owner of the Competition BBQ Team Porter Mac’s Rockin BBQ. In addition Tim’s passion for competing in BBQ events, he also has a highly successful BBQ catering business that allows him to continue to test and refine his various BBQ blends.
This 12 ingredient blend has a hint of sweetness to it but also doesn’t pack as much heat as our Kickin' Chicken rub. You get just a bit of heat from the red pepper flakes as well as the delicious subtle heat of ground brown mustard seed which also gives a pungent flavor. You will also notice the undertones of the smokiness of the Spanish paprika. With its deep, rich color this rub can be used liberally on your chicken. We always recommend that you season your meat with our rubs at least one hour before grilling and for chicken you can let the seasoning soak into the meat for up to 24 hours for maximum flavor. Now remember this is a rub so shake the seasoning onto the meat and then work it in with your hands to evenly coat both sides before you refrigerate. Hand blended from brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, sea salt, rosemary, red pepper flakes, smoked Spanish paprika, brown mustard, ginger root, yellow mustard powder, and ground nutmeg.
