This one of our more popular "beginners" rubs that is ideal for chicken or fish. We absolutely love the sweet taste of the honey combined with the smoky flavor of the ground chipotle powder and the Spanish paprika. Best of all the granulated honey really helps to form the perfect crust that all good barbequed grilled chicken should have.

Now if you are not familiar with a dry rub it is a seasoning blend of dry spices and salt, the seasoning is shaken onto the meat and then rubbed evenly on all sides before cooking. This helps to form a tasty crust that contains tremendous flavor. If you have ever tasted great barbeque, it is most likely that a dry rub was used. Dry rubs give meats (beef, chicken, fish or pork) a memorable flavor. All the great barbeque chefs use dry spice rubs and now you can too.

Now we know that there is a lot of talk about salt over consumption but a dry rub without salt really isn't a dry rub. Now some won't agree but for me the real argument should be how much salt is in the dry rub. Most dry rubs purchased commercially contain too much salt. There is a business reason for this - salt (even sea salt or Kosher salt) is the least expensive ingredient in the spices and herbs used in blending  the dry spice rub. So the more salt the more profit.

We use as little salt as possible in our most popular dry rubs and prefer to use other ingredients in higher amounts for the best quality possible. We use salt as it really brings out the flavors of the other spices and herbs.

Hand blended from granulated honey, sea salt, chipotle powder, granulated onion, Spanish paprika and Italian seasoning.

We also have some other chicken seasoning that can be used on your chicken whether you want to grill, bake or cook in the skillet - Texas Chicken Rub
, Manzanillo Seasoning, Citrus Herb Seasoning, Mediterranean Dry Rub, Kickin’ Chicken, Sweet Tweetie and Adobo Lime Rub.

Used on chicken strips a couple nights ago. Fantastic! So sweet, yet the smokey, chipotle bite came through. Going to grill shrimp with it as soon as we get the shrimp.

My husband and I love this rub! I used it on salmon and it was wonderful. I also put it in my black eyed peas and ham, along with Spices Inc.'s Sweet Chili Powder and my husband claimed it was the best I'd ever made. We do not want to be without this great rub. A+ for Spices Inc.!

This rub is amazing on perk and chicken with no additions. We also mixed it in with some coffee and cocoa for a beef tenderloin and the smoky sweet balance was perfection.
