Common in Bangladesh, Indian and Pakistan cuisines Garam Masala is a general purpose, spicy warm (but not necessarily hot) Indian seasoning. A traditional ingredient in Indian dahl, kormas, samosas and  tandoori  Indian cooks use it primarily to flavor meat and poultry.

Garam Masala originated in northern India and is also known as masala curry or masala curry powder. As with many regional seasoning blends around the globe the exact ingredients in Garam Masala will vary according to region, village/city and family. Hand blended from
cumin, ground coriander, cardamom powder, black pepper,
Ceylon cinnamon, ground clove, ground nutmeg and saffron.

Helpful hint: Add the ground Garam Masala towards the end of the cooking process so that the flavor is not lost.

This Garam Masala is truely amazing and a wonderful hand blend of fresh spices. The aroma/fragrance and the spice undertones are very pleasant, and has a well-balanced flavor. I also recommend adding a touch more of Garam Masala towards the end of the cooking process to give your dish that extra boost of favor and love. I would recommend this to friends and curry food lovers. I'll continue to repurchase this Garam Masala in the future.

I ordered Garam Masala for the first time from Spices, Inc., having never even used it before in my cooking. My husband and I absolutely adore it. My husband had a health scare so we've gone to more vegetarian and vegan choices of food, many of which are of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern origin. I put Garam Masala in just about every dish I make! The aroma is exquisite and the taste is wonderful, flavorful and well-balanced. I can't imagine not having it in my spice cabinet! Thanks so much for a wonderful Garam Masala! The aroma is outstanding! I used it in gound beef curry, Kheema Bhurjee, and the flavor was full-bodied and perfect.
